Yucca faxoniana is a large and impressive plant that grows mainly in western Texas, around Sierra Blanca and in the Mexican states of Coahuile and Chihuahua, especially in the Big Bend region, divided by the Rio Grande. The Yucca faxoniana can reach a height of 6-10 m and usually has a single stem, dark brown in color with irregular grooves that, cut, have a diameter of 40-50 cm on average. Branched trunks are rarely seen and are very impressive. The edge of the leaf shows a brown line that grows from thin, almost invisible, curled threads. In its natural environment, the plant only blooms once every three to four years and then produces a flower stalk up to 2 m in length. This is 100-120 cm long, and comes out high above the leaves. The flower stalk is 8-10 cm thick and the green-white flowers are each 5-9 cm long. Y. faxoniana occurs on sandstone slopes, at an altitude of 900-1800 m. It is frost resistant to -15 ° C
