Yucca treculeana occurs in several northern states of Mexico and further limited in southern Texas to the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. He usually grows with a single trunk but can also branch. The plant can be 2-7 m high. The leaves are dark green to blue and in their natural habitat they can be 80-100 cm long and 5 cm wide, in culture even 120-140 cm. For most people it is difficult to distinguish the plant from similar yuccas such as Y. torreyi, Y.schidigera and Y.faxoniana, but Y.treculeana stands out due to the lack of white wires at the leaf margin. Cut, the trunk has a dark red-brown color and deep, irregular grooves. It is good for cold climates (-15 ° C), and according to our experience, it often recovers after the head has been frozen or rotted away.
